Code of Ethics The amusement park has a formal code of ethics that consist of rules and guidelines in regards to employee behavior. These rules and guidelines are put in place to ensure efficient business operations. All employees are held accountable for following the code of ethics. There is zero tolerance for conduct that interferes with operations, and is offensive to customers or coworkers. The amusement park’s aim is to conduct business to the highest ethical standards. The purpose of the code of ethics is to discourage wrong doing and promote ethical and honest behavior by all employees and to adhere to government laws, rules, and regulations. The goal of the code of ethics is to ensure that employees exhibit high standards of integrity and commitment. The code of ethics includes nondiscrimination, customer service, anti-retaliation, guide to responsible conduct, conflict of interest, harassment, and confidentiality. Nondiscrimination, our employees are expected to avoid discrimination amongst each other as well as customers and suppliers. In addition they’re to encourage others to behave in the same manner. Candidates are hired and/or promoted based on merit regardless of age, race, religion, etc. Customer Service, our customers are our primary source of income and job stability. Customers are to be treated in a courteous and respectful manner at all times. Customers are to feel appreciated by every employee they come into contact with. Reoccurring customer service issues should be reported to management. Employees should at all times be prepared to listen and deal with customer complaints. Anti retaliation, unethical or unlawful behavior should be reported immediately to a supervisor/manager. Retaliation for filing violations is prohibited. Guide to responsible conduct, people tend to act under the standard of decency at work as they would in their personal lives. It is best for the employee and the company that we communicate what your individual responsibilities in maintaining what we consider proper standards of conduct. This guide explains the efficient and professional matter in which we look for you to carry out your duties. Conflict of interest, there is a zero tolerance for employees to engage in any activity or conduct that conflicts or appears to conflict with the interest of the company. It is not possible to name all situations that may cause or appear to be conflict of interest. Representing the company is a positive and ethical manner is expected of all employees. Harassment, employees have the right not to be harassed in any form or fashion. All employees are to respect themselves and others. Confidentiality, it is the obligation of the employee to protect internal business affairs of the organization, particularly confidential information. This information may not be discussed outside of the organization and may only be discussed within the organization on a need to know basis. The code of ethics is distributed to all new employees. There are postings that included the ethics hotline number in all employee areas. Our company performs random surveys to our customers twice a week to ensure that we’re providing good customer service. Our employees are rewarded with bonuses based on these surveys. Our surveys are graded on a scale from one to ten, a score lower than an eight is considered a zero. In order for our employees to receive their full bonus our scores must be eight or higher 95% of the time. Since the rewards program was implemented it has been successful, we’ve seen a reduction in customer complaints and increase in company moral.
