Abstract
Over the last few months I have been learning about the nightclub business with the owners of
Club IT, Ruben and Lisa and I have discovered opportunities for Club IT to improve its
information technology capabilities. Although Club IT has excelled in their business as a
nightclub, is necessary to improve the information technology and take advantage of the
technology with the customers, suppliers, and employers.
Club IT II
Club IT has most of the customers into the net generation. The customers of club IT are regular
users of electronic devices or mobile technologies such as Blackberries, PDAs, cameras phones,
and other wireless communication devices. Today’s generation also do online shopping as part of
their lives to save money and time.
After few months of research on the Club IT’s information technology, data management, and
decision-making some problems has been found that can be resolved through few applications.
The applications that can be used to resolve these problems can be
• CRM (customer relationship management)
• SCM (supply chain management)
CRM (customer relationship management) is an information industry term for methodology,
software, and usually Internet capabilities that help an enterprise manage customer relationships
in an organized way. For example, an enterprise might build a database about its customers that
described relationships in sufficient detail so that management, salespeople, people providing
service, and perhaps the customer directly could access information, match customer needs with
product plans and offerings, remind customers of service requirements, know what other
products a customer had purchased, and so forth. With these application the customers can use
the mobile technology and wireless devices to buy or obtain tickets or make reservations for
special events at the nightclub. The customers also can be notified by the management on drinks
or food specials through the electronic devices.
SCM (supply chain management) is the combination of art and science that goes into improving
the way the company finds the raw components it needs to make a product or service and
coordination of operations with all the companies involved in the entire sequence of suppliers
that contribute to the creation and delivery of a product or service.
Effective supply chain management can provide an important competitive advantage for a
business marketer, resulting in improved communication and involvement among members of
the chain, increased motivation, and decreased costs.
ERP (enterprise resource planning) is a process by which a company (often a manufacturer)
manages and integrates the important parts of its business. An ERP management information
system integrates areas such as planning, purchasing, inventory, sales, marketing, finance,
human resources, etc. ERP is most frequently used in the context of software. As the
methodology has become more popular, large software applications have been developed to help
companies implement ERP in their organization.
Think of ERP as the glue that binds the different computer systems for a large organization.
Typically each department would have their own system optimized for that division's particular
tasks. With ERP, each department still has their own system, but they can communicate and
share information easier with the rest of the company.
Conclusion
Club IT nightclub has the ability to improve its relationships with the customers, suppliers, and
the employees by creating an upgrade on the information management system. The customers
will be able to be in contact with the nightclub at alltime without the necessity of be there in
person. The management will be able to have communication or interaction with the suppliers
for the needs of the nightclub. The different departments at Club IT will be able to work more
independent but with the ability to share the information regarding the best interest of the Club
IT nightclub.
