Club IT under the management of Ruben and Lisa have become successful, to keep that success from turning around the managers need to update how they handle business and manage their customers, although Ruben and Lisa have created a website it is lacking a more professional look and a way for customers to interact with it and the staff or owners.
One of the problems identified is the way the Internet is accessed, although they are saving money by using a dial up service, it lacks the speed necessary to communicate with suppliers, or run credit cards at the same time, installation of a second line could be a solution for this problem but costs would increase, using a high speed Internet service would give them more options on planning website, communicating with customers and suppliers, without giving up the main line to take reservations or answer questions from their customers. Using a dial up service would limit upgrades and participation in video conferencing or online gaming. A High speed service would increase the chances of upgrading a new IT System making Club IT run more efficiently. Another problem is that the use of informational resources like the Internet to help with purchasing of supplies or making payments to suppliers for goods services already purchased, this also helps with tracking employees and their benefits, the employees can use it to track schedules, medical or insurance forms, news and the company’s policy. A CRM program would be a viable option to help with staff members better understand their customers and form individualized relationships with customers, giving better customer satisfaction and maximize profits (Rainer & Turban, 2008).
A second problem is that their computer programs need upgrading, by upgrading the programs they will create additional services for their functional areas of the business and let their customers use all the electronic things they have in the club, creating a transaction processing system to manage data, will keep track of the inventory, sales of food and beverages, even with the sale of advance tickets to their Friday and Saturday night concerts, eliminating the need to guess at occupancy rates on any given night, it will also help to see how the company is doing compared to previous years or month and to plan accordingly. Incorporating Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) A enterprise resource planning (nd), according to Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia an integrated computer-based system used to manage internal and external resources that is used to consolidate the functional departments to single computer system can increase productivity, help with decision-making by integrating different functions and activities into seamless whole which, information is then shared across departments.
Voice recognition software can be an advantage for Club IT, the customers they serve are technology-minded individuals, customer’s have been commenting and admiring the changes in Club IT. The use of voice recognition software can empower users to interact with their computers by voice. Designed for people who want to increase productivity and decrease time on a keyboard & mouse. This program would help Rueben and Lisa with the administrative duties or allow staff to fill in forms and save online for easy access by the owners. The staff can use this to take orders with more accuracy, which is relayed to the kitchen or bar for processing. With each use the software excels in accuracy and improves with each user, adapts to the user speaking style and vocabulary. Use of this software can help with supply chain management, this could be used to market the concerts, create packages including dinner, drinks or a dessert with the purchase of a pair of concert tickets, keeping track of these items would help with future planning of events and inventory used so that pricing can be kept low but still be competitive amount other clubs offering similar packages (LumenVox, 2007).
Club IT is a technology friendly club, who wants to maintain a high quality in customer services by creating a High-Tech club with a user- friendly atmosphere to their customers, keeping staff members longer than most clubs by providing opportunities for them to been seen such as open Mic- night if they desire or options for tracking schedules, and keeping on top of what the latest changes in the club by seeking out their input to those changes, helping with making more innovating ways to increase customer participation in the club and staff members lives.
