Healthy Eating Plan Comparison Axia College of University of Phoenix April 14, 2011 My nutritional habits have changed a lot and I try to eat much healthier now. I have noticed in the foods I eat they have lacked a lot nutrients because I use to eat a lot of junk food and fast food. I no longer eat out as much and have cut down a lot at eating junk food. I have learned to count my calories and eat small portions of food and drink plenty of water. I also work out at the gym at least two to three times a week. The pyramidtracker.gov is a great aid to help people with counting calories, protein fat and carbohydrates. I have started using this tool because so far it has helped me tremendously in losing weight. I have noticed that I have been consuming too much empty foods that really don’t have the right nutrients and vitamins that I need. If I do not change and get the correct nutrients and vitamins I need it will cause my weight to go up. So I am going to reverse this method and continue eating more healthy foods like fruits and vegetables. Vegetables would include: spinach, carrots, celery, brocellio and onions. Fruits can include bananas, oranges, strawberries, grapes, and peaches. It is best to avoid foods that are high in fat and acid like: French fries, chips, pork chops, fried chicken, beef, and sodas. I feel it is best that I include my family in my nutritional changes. By me changing my eating habits has made me feel better and gives me a boost of energy that I haven’t had since high school. I go to bed early and get up early in the morning. I do have much more time throughout the day which reduced my stress levels. With my new diet change and exercise change it helped my ability to accomplish more tasks. It is a great feeling to be known I am much more productive. I enjoy cooking but I had to change the way I eat. I just got some recipe books to help me learn new and healthy foods that my family and I can enjoy. I picked up a new habit of cooking, healthy food of course. I feel it is best for me and also everybody else to take responsibility and to accept the fact that they are not living to their standards. People need to be aware of their bad eating habits and make changes, whether they are swift or gradual such as mine. In the short run it may be frustrating or maybe just different however the long term have its rewards and I am personally seeing them. The extra needed energy helped me do a lot more tasks in my daily life and the same can be done to others. By avoiding the acidic food, that is high in fats and cholesterol, the change in our bodies will be able take effect and remove all the toxins that have entered our bodies. And by consuming much healthier foods such as vegetables I mentioned or even fruits such as oranges, bananas, apples, or grapes. They all contain very essential nutrients the body needs to keep the system running efficiently. My healthy eating plan has changed a lot. I do eat some of the foods but not as much as I use to. I enjoy eating vegetables and fruits which taste pretty good when cooked and seasoned right. I also enjoyed trying and cooking new foods helped me see that I do not to eat fast food all the time and if I cook at home it tastes great but it is more healthier and nutritious.
