The discrimination act means that all people including children have the right to take part in all of the society and not be excluded because of their disability. The children’s act documents that we have to give equal opportunities to all children regardless of religion, race, and cultural or linguistic background. Through role-play they can express their own imagination freely by their own first hand experiences. If you ever suspect abuse, you should report it directly to the designated person, who passes the information up the chain ultimately to the area child protection committee. When abuse is disclosed or suspected the member of staff should make brief notes as soon as possible giving quotes if they can be recalled, dates and times should be recorded. By giving them skills of empowerment they will have knowledge and confidence to say NO and that they can tell another adult because they know what was asked of them or done to them so wrong.
