Catepelose

Whiteness. An endless field of a pale blank whiteness. I have been in this whiteness; it seems, from the beginning of time. I have grown and molded myself with this comforting yet mind-numbing whiteness. I think to myself that I must act and free myself of the whiteness. Without heed for my thoughts the whiteness continues to numb my brain and control my muscles like a puppet master never allowing me an action. But now my heart is restless, something within me drives me push back at this restraining containment. With a burst of energy, which was hidden deep within me, I cut and tore my way through this grappling threshold to an astonishing new unknown. Things were different here. There were vibrations, there was color, and most of all there was vast open space. Tingling with a sense of exploration I set off roaming this new world. I discovered that this world was divided into fields soothing blue on top, green goodness in the middle, and formidable brown on the bottom. A deep instinct taught me that the green of this world was my ally that would support my very well being. As I continued to explore this vast environment I came upon life. They would screech and cry languages unknown to me. But following familiar vibrations I came across hundreds of brethren, all chopping and chomping the green field. As I tried to gain a spot I was pushed and shoved away with yells and screeches. They thought of me as an intruder, one that would take away from their precious green field. After many futile tries I gave up and moved on to my own little rotten field of green. Slowly munching away and the welcomed numbness of sleep coming over me. I abruptly awoke; I was squeezed and started flying through the air, like a plaything of a monstrous god. I started to panic throwing my body this way and that. I twisted myself and gnawed the object that was squeezing me. There was a loud boom of sound, I was released, a field of brown came rushing towards me, and all went black. My vision was blurred and my feet shook as I awoke. As my head cleared I noticed that I was not on the soft green fields anymore but rather on the rough and ragged brown fields. Slowly I started exploring trying to find a little patch of green to calm my great appetite. Movement in this terrain was very demanding for it was covered in rocks and boulders. Only after roaming for hours did I find anything edible. Stopping I slowly started munching and refreshing myself. There was a small vibration to my left. I froze searching slowly for the cause of this disruption. There were more vibrations, my heart pumping fast and fast, my feet ready to run. Suddenly out of the darkness a big gray creature pounced, speeding and grunting towards me. I ran as fast as my feet would take me but the creature was many times faster, I lost all hope as it quickly gained upon me. Suddenly as if by magic the grunting stopped. I stopped and turned around, the creature was motionless on the ground it’s blood slowly oozing out of its skull. As I studied the creature more closely I found a small ball as hard as a pebble buried within its head. Thankful for this brutal blessing I moved on. Day after day I grew more accustomed to the ways to this rich yet merciless world. The green fields were precious with all the creatures competing for their share. One most find his own field or starve to death. And each and every day I grew fatter and rounder until one day when I had finished my share of the rich fields something deep within my fat belly stirred. And suddenly a sticky substance rushed to my mouth. With no further ado, as if prompted by nature itself, I began making a dwelling with the gooey fluid. I again became fully enclosed in an infinite whiteness. With a haunting feeling of dread I went to sleep. Light. The bright orb that ranged the blue field was glistening through my shelter of pasty whiteness. Filled with new energy I pushed out breaking slowly but surely away from my bondage. Suddenly I was afloat, soaring with ease to new dimension of the environment unknown to me. Looking for the cause of this supernatural change I found my body redesigned from the fatty fleshy to an intricate masterpiece of flight. The challenges for green fields seemed so insignificant from my transformed view of my world. Soaring through the sky merrily something caught my eye. It was a flying creature just like me only more beautiful and more stunning. It fluttered away smoothly behind a field of green. My heart thumping I followed the mystic creature that had left me dazzled in its beauty. But just as I reached behind the green field I caught a glimpse of its majestic body disappearing ahead. As if an invisible hook was dragging me along, I chased after the creature that was now weaving through the green fields. Taunting me on until she burst out of the green fields and into the clear blue field above. Following suit I noticed that I was not the only one fascinated by this delightful being, but that many similar to me were also in pursuit. Filled with possessory anger I charged at the infidels who dared follow what was mine. By instinct I knew whoever was victorious in this brawl would gain ownership over the gorgeous creature. My powerful sails batting this way and that I stood my ground until all had left defeated. Left alone with my prize, we enjoyed what was nature and instinct to us. After days of blissful pleasure there came a little round ball of roundness that my beautiful companion delicately stored away on a healthy green field.
