Break My Heart For What Breaks Yours I really love comic superhero movies, especially the X-men movies; they’ve been coming out with lately. I love all the different characters and the different story lines. However, Wolverine would have to be my favorite character. I mean how can it get any better than having six retractable bone claws, an accelerated healing process, an acute sense of smell, sight and sound, superhuman strength and speed, and great hair! Even though he seems to be virtually indestructible, he has this constant struggle within in himself. He carries around the burdens of the past, while his animal-like behavior competes with who he really wants to be. In fact, to add insult to injury, someone tells Wolverine, “People never change, Wolverine. You were an animal than and you’re animal now.” What a hopeless message, right' Unfortunately, the world has adopted that same philosophy and hopelessness. It seems that many times we define people by their dysfunction because it does not take revelation to see people by their dysfunction; it takes revelation to see what people can become. God loves us enough to see past where we are and sees us for who really are which is the righteousness of God thru Christ Jesus! It’s time for the Church, as a united body, to step out and start loving the way Christ does. It is vital that we start loving people enough to see beyond where they are, what they look like, or how many times they’ve been to the altar. We must deliver the message of hope and redemption to a culture that is crying out for a Savior. It is heartbreaking to know that, suicide is the fourth leading cause of death for adults between the ages of 18 and 65 years in the United States, with 27,321 suicides. In fact, a person dies by suicide about every 16 minutes in the United States and an attempt is estimated to be made once every minute. It is imperative that the hearts of God’s people be awakened and sense the urgency at hand. Let us take on the heart of God and proclaim to the world that our God saves!
