The Way the Body Works Based on atherosclerosis it is the lining of the arteries and arterioles because of the way of the lipids on the lining. The inside surface of the arteries is not normal. Which leads to the cause of clotting to form and obstruct the flow of blood causing hypertension. Then if atherosclerosis is present in the coronary artery, it would which a person will have heart attack. The heart is divided into two sides and each side has its own function. The two chambers are called the atrium chamber and the ventricle lower chamber. The blood vessels carries blood to the heart and to the rest of the body. The blood gives in the right atrium then to the right ventricle where it allow itself to be pumped into the lungs to get rid of the waste products in order to give fresh oxygen from the lungs. Then the blood at the right by the left ventricle into the aorta, the left ventricle is the chamber of the heart that is the function to pump blood to all body parts, the aorta sends blood to the arteries, which carry oxygen and blood to the rest of the body. The heart only function is to pump blood. Arteries wall are thick and the vein wall is very thin. Arteries oxygenates and deoxygenated blood flowing through veins, except in the pulmonary veins. Arteries blood goes through from the body parts to the heart. Oxygenated blood goes through the arteries. Deoxygenated blood flows through the veins. Capillaries are vessels that carry blood from the arteries to small veins, the capillaries wall is a single layer of endothelial cells. The major function of the capillaries is that they give food and supply oxygen to the tissue cells and taking out mass. There are some advantages of a closed circulatory system. A closed circulatory system has a good speed of circulation. The closed circulatory system generates blood pressure to keep blood flowing efficiently carry more of a steady flow of blood then an open circulatory system. The flow of blood circulates in the body in a limited time. In an open circulatory system the rate of speed is not important because the blood flow into open sinuses. Arterial musculature and papillary sphincters regulate flow of blood to the organs according to their need. When the blood goes through the arterial end of its venous end, the fluid of the plasma filters out of the thin wall capillaries at the arterial end due to the difference in pressure. This type of fluid is what you name the tissue fluid. The tissue fluid carry salt, sugar, and amino acids to dissolve in it. The piece of the tissue fluid goes back through the capillaries at their own venous end to finish the volume of the blood. All of the fluid kept by the lymph vessels are given back to the blood as the lymph vessels goes to the vena cavana which is located near the heart. Lymphedema is part of the PVD which is the peripheral vascular disease. About .10 million people have this disease. It occurs mostly in adults which is about 6 percent, people who are older than 70 is 20 percent. It occurs in the arteries outside the heart. PVD is cause by the narrowing of the vessels that carry blood to the leg and arms. The lymph ties are a good essential to our immune system.
