Audience Analysis Paper When an audience is being addressed during a business meeting the presenter has taken into consideration the different educational backgrounds, experience levels and language abilities. Thus making a presentation that is catered to the groups involved in the business meeting. Analysis of the audience is important when communicating the message to the recipients especially in business. When communication is misunderstood in the world of business time and money are wasted. What characteristics of the audience must you consider' Adapt benefits to the audience whenever possible to maximize the audience’s attention to the presenter. As long as the presenter and the audience member have good communication the presenter can share the benefits of conducting business together. Stress intrinsic as well as extrinsic motivators to entice the audience members to take interest in the discussion at hand. Intrinsic motivators are benefits or internal rewards the target audience may receive from the presenter of a product. In example, a teacher offers students gold stars next to the names of the students who achieve the highest grades in class and at the end of the week the students with the most gold stars receive a free pizza party. For some students who are uninterested the with the subjects covered in class motivation for a free pizza party is simply not enough for them to attempt to do the work necessary to achieve a good grade. When a student is genuinely interested in the topic and wants to do the work necessary, the reward is the accomplishment of a task given by the teacher. Extrinsic motivators are actual rewards such as money or prizes given by companies to motivate the employees to always do a better job than the next person. A manager gifts a free lunch to the employee with the most sale for the day by noon is an example of extrinsic motivators. All along the manager motivated the employees to do what they are supposed to do while performing task at work. Prove benefits with dear logic and explain them in adequate detail according to the audience. Some audience members will enjoy the exaggerated benefits of a product a company is trying to sale. A company such as Nike will endorse athletes to promote its product line. The audience members may believe that the product will enhance their own ability in everyday life. Consumers may buy into these theories or visual displays of greatness that a professional athlete is able to exhibit. Other cultures believe benefits are to be back by facts and numbers, which is why it is important for each speaker to address the audience as individually. The benefits of you-attitude are the reader’s feelings or ego. If a presenter is able to play into the readers ego allowing that person to feel as if they are in the right then the presenter achieves their goal. For instance, the mobile phone bill is late and the company sends a reminder to the person responsible for payment. The company may include that if the client wish to continue using the service an immediate payment needs to post to the account by the date listed within the statement. This allows the company to convey a message to the client by assertiveness. What communication channels are appropriate' Explain. Staff meetings are great for a manger to be able to listen to its staff. Emails are quick and to the point but can be misinterpreted when the writer is the only person who understands what they are writing about. Social networks are suited for advertisement rather than discussions of company business between employees and management. The intranet does allow for a company to communicate amongst employees and management to disseminate messages that do not require staff meetings. What are some considerations to keep in mind given the diversity of the audience' Some considerations to be aware of are the cultural differences of an audience. An audience of two people can have diversity. How do you ensure your message is effective'
