candidate’s performance will be assessed through observation, questioning and inspection of his or her products of work. Examples of work products would include:

2.2 Make assessment decisions of occupational competence against specified criteria

Your your assessment decisions must be fair. You will need to show that you stick to the assessment criteria: for example, that you are not judging someone on their communication skills, if what is being assessed is their ability to make a healthy meal. When being observed, you will need to avoid leading questions or any suggestion of bias. Use of questions from a question bank might avoid this to some extent, but evidence should also include questions that have arisen from what you have observed. Your product evidence here might be completed questioning records. Some awarding organizations provide record sheets that identify by number the questions asked from the question bank, but then provide an additional sheet to record any extra questions you have included. Sometimes these record sheets are devised by the centre.
