Argentina

Argentina Argentina is located in South America and the capital is Buenos Aires. When I was in Argentina I visited Buenos Aires, Cordoba, and Mendoza. When I went to Buenos Aires I went to see a soccer game, it was amazing how passionate the fans were about the game, it was like I was in Fenway Park. Then I went and visited the Andes Mountains in Cordoba Argentina. The Andes Mountains is a natural playground for anyone with an interest in the outdoors and the equipment for fun, satisfying and successful journeys. The last place I stopped was Mendoza it is one the most visited place in Argentina, because of the multitude of activities that there is to do. The weather is beautiful in the summer ranging from seventy to ninety degrees. The days may be a bit warm, but the nights are cool and fresh. After I visited all those places I realized that I loved Argentina because it is so beautiful. I heard stories while I was in Argentina about Juan Peron (1895 - 1974) started out his career by joining the army at the age of 18. Over the next 30 years he held a number of military posts. His strong support for labor unions and social reform resulted in widespread support for him among the Argentine masses. In 1946, he was elected President. He instituted massive social reform, but was ruthless in suppressing all opposition and Peron's Argentina rapidly became a dictatorship. One interesting fact about Argentina is it’s the second largest country in South America, occupying most of the southern portion of the continent. The 1993 estimated population is 33.5 million with more than 90% of the population of European origin, Spanish and Italian being the most prominent. Another interesting fact about Argentina is More than one third of the population lives in and around Buenos Aires, the capital city. Two other major cities, Rosario and Cordoba, have over a million inhabitants. That’s what I learned and did in Argentina.
