Axia College Material Appendix C Clarifying Personal Values Each of you will be faced with numerous moral and ethical dilemmas throughout your career. To be prepared to make these ethical decisions, it is helpful to clarify your personal values, and morals before you are faced with an ethical dilemma. Review the following list of values and create a list of the five values most important to you in making decisions. I feel that some of the commodities that I see with the five values I have picked are that it seems that I look out and take lots of pride in the job that I am doing. I am very retail oriented and seem to look out more for the job then my personal life. My ethical decision making is effected because sometimes I go against my best judgment or what I believe to please a customer or to try to do what I am expected at my job I want to have good customer service as well as be understanding and flexible with the tasks I am expected to perform. I don’t think they would conflict sometimes I feel the closest thing that I would come close to this would be team work sometimes working with others may interfere with the goals and commitments I have made with when it comes to providing the upmost service that I can I plan if this happens to work with other people to explain my goals and provide a great leadership role so others can follow by example. Well I work for target and these are the same values they expect from their employees. They call each other team members and thrive on team work they expect everyone to provide excellent customer service and to be flexible when it comes to helping others and working when you are needed the most.
