Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome is marked by the eventual complete destruction of the human body’s ability to protect itself against various life threatening diseases .Although in America HIV was once known to be first discovered in 1981. These findings later became revised because of an HIV specimen taken in central Africa approximately in 1959. Diagnosis of the deadly disease, AIDS by the millions had surfaced worldwide.
When AIDS began no one could have imagined how this disease could have spread and become an epidemic, this disease spread worldwide and millions of lives were changed and effected by it.HIV/AIDS devastated families, communities, and whole continents. This epidemic wiped out decades off countries , national developments, widen the gulf between rich and the poor nations and push already stigmatized groups closer to the margins in society (avert.org/Around world). We are living in a country where HIV has become an international epidemic in Society (www.Avert.org/aroundworld).
In 2004, AIDS killed an estimated amount of 3 million people. There were 40 million additional people living with the infection. [1] This disease affects poor people all over the world. HIV/AIDS is primarily a heterosexual epidemic in developing countries. [2] This disease has been documented in every part of the world. The most overwhelming majority of people living with HIV/AIDS are in low to middle income countries. [3].
Nationally AIDS surfaced as a heterosexual disease in male and female human beings. In nationalities such as Asia, Africa, Southeast Asia, and India. In laymen’s terms straight or heterosexual young adults and or teens have been dramatically infected. Some of the greatest HIV infections by the numbers have been more severe in the poorest countries of Africa and developing countries of the world. The end of the year 2007 dictated that one tenth of the adult population starting at ages 15 thru 49 were infected and more severe in 9 countries of Africa .
There were at least one adult in a line diagnosed with HIV in three Southern countries of Africa. The most recent beginnings of AIDS infections appeared to be in a number of Asian Countries that have lacked the ability to adequately suffice testing and monitoring the disease and the spread of it. This lack of ability in these Asian countries contributes to its disease diversity. The price of high risk behavior such as, men who practice homosexuality /intravenous drug use /prostituting while still sexually active with their own partners, led to the findings that in India there were 2.4 million people living with HIV in 2007(wordbook).
The diversity of the AIDS epidemic is even greater in Asia than in Africa. The epidemic of AIDS appears to be of more recent origin, in many Asian countries lacking accurate systems for monitoring the spread of HIV.
HIV has finally been recognized as a global threat, and many people and organizations are now taking action to prevent it from killing many millions more than those who have already died. But in some areas this action is faltering at a time when it needs to be not only continued and strengthened unless action against the epidemic continues to be scaled up. Millions more will die and millions of children will be orphaned (www.avert.org/aroundtheworld.htm).
