Summary of learning log entries: Firstly, at beginning of the first few weeks, I was quite confused about the number of required assessments that have to be handed in during this semester. Hence I was on the wrong track as keep doing duplicated tutorial works. Therefore, I have been trying to learn and keep my own weekly summary work throughout lecture contents and tutorial works. In general, I have been flexible about the learning programs and applied theory of each week experiences. For instance, I have carefully prepare tutorial works before tutorial, such as topic regulatory and political influence on accounting practice in week 2, critical thinking about conceptual framework in week 5 and the influences of accounting to social life via cancer demonstration and my learning log entries also include my review under angles of other units by different learning methods compare with ACCG399. In conclusion, the description of my belief and personal behavior reflected toward those learning entries and accounting can been seen apparently throughout my learning log entries papers. Reflective essay: After revising back to my very first learning log entry, the contents were really puerile and it was not quite reflecting on my study, such as what was happening and what I did learn from the past weeks. However, thanks to my tutor’s comments and explanation, I was really found out and learned from my mistakes to improve my critical thinking and improve my learning log entries become more comprehensive and more professional. Moreover, I also have obtained a broad vision and be able to understand number of complicated issues existing amongst social communication and business strategies in the relation of accounting. After review all of my learning log entries, I would like to demonstrate about the number of topics that I have learnt as well as number of experiences and tips that our tutor has clarified and explained throughout the semester. The most thing that is important to not only for this unit but rather than other units is preparation before tutorial work. Well preparation may include the satisfaction of reading texts requirement and the completion of tutorial as well as self-study work load before tutorial class. Otherwise you might realise that you will be unable to follow and turn out yourself to understand the information that the tutors is trying to explain or to delivery to their students. This may cause a big question in my mind that does it may affect to university performance where, there are number of students turn up themselves to tutorial as well as lecture. This will lead to higher amount of study workload at the end of semester as for self-study. Moreover, it also affect the other students attendance due to low amount of student presentation will affect the study spirit as the whole class. Thus it may cause high number of students, who are unable to follow up study programs, are unable to satisfy the particular unit requirement. Moreover, I have learnt very interesting topic in Week 6 as the action of government in terms of the introduction of IFRS and its influences to the society. This is related to political pressure and critical thinking. What I have simply found out from previous entries were that, political pressure is just a part of government activities and regulations that are taken to satisfy and be able to response with the global accounting changes. However, political pressure was even broader than my knowledge in terms of causing number of minor and complicated influences to society and business structure. In addition, among other topics that has been covered in ACCG399 and other units, conceptual framework and historical cost that were mentioned in my learning log week 5 that could be turned out one of my favourite topics. I found out conceptual framework is one of significant factors aim provide interrelated concepts that guide and help users in developing number of measurement about accounting factors and the statistical relationship needed. Therefore, it become a key component that helps help to user manage and adjust different measurement in different perspective such as economic, social environment and organisational business practices. However, the other topic that have mentioned at the mean time is historical, where it has never been considered in other units, was not describe critically and specifically in my major. I think that organisation need to pay more attention in historical cost as helping user to determine the performance of organisation activities in the past and be able to create number of budgets in the future.
