September 11th, 2001: What really happened' At 8:45 a.m., September 11th, 2001, American Airlines Flight 11 out of Boston, Massachusetts crashed into the World Trade Center’s North Tower in New York. This was the beginning in the first of a series of coordinated terrorist attacks on the United States. At 9:03 a.m., a second hijacked airliner, United Airlines Flight 175 from Boston, crashed into The World Trade Center’s South Tower, and exploded.  With both buildings ablaze, hundreds of rescue personnel rushed to the scene. At 9:43 a.m., American Airlines Flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon, sending up a huge plume of smoke. At 10:05 a.m., the World Trade Center’s South Tower collapsed, plummeting into the streets below. Five minutes later, a portion of the Pentagon collapsed. At 10:28 a.m., The World Trade Center's North Tower collapsed, releasing a tremendous cloud of debris and smoke. At 10:48 a.m. police confirmed that a fourth passenger jet, United Airlines Flight 93, had crashed in western Pennsylvania (September 11: Chronology of terror). The Government says that 9/11 was a series of coordinated suicide attacks led by al-Qaeda upon the United States; but was it' The evidence that 9/11 was an inside job is overwhelming. Between the physical evidence of the World Trade Center’s North and South Tower, Building 7, and the Pentagon, the suspicious actions of the government, numerous witness reports, and the knowledge that the terrorists had obtained; one can clearly see that the September 11th attack on America was planned, coordinated, and carried out with the assistance of top officials in the FBI, CIA, NORAD, and the Bush Administration. According to 911truth.org, “the towers fell due to a controlled demolition, planned in advance by the United States government.” There are many reasons as to why experts believe that the World Trade Center’s North and South towers were the result of a controlled demolition. One of the main reasons is because “the collapse of the towers looks like the result of a controlled demolition. Since there is no structural resistance to gravity in a controlled demolition, the building collapses straight into its own footprint, with each floor “pancaking” onto the floors below at or near the speed of a free fall” (Molé 30-42). Both of the World Trade Center buildings fell following this “pancake” pattern. If however, the cause of the buildings collapse would have been solely because they were hit by an airplane, the steel structure of the buildings would have provided at least some resistance to the weight of the floors above, causing the falling structure to collapse to one side rather than “pancake” straight down. In addition, high-velocity "demolition squibs" (small puffs of smoke that are released out the sides of a building as the result of demolition charges at points immediately prior to floor collapse) are clearly visible in the videos and photographs capturing the collapses of the World Trade Center’s North and South Towers. The smoke puffs from the “squibs” occur progressively downward after collapse initiates in precisely the textbook method of controlled demolitions (Fire Fighters For 9-11 TRUTH). When you take this and add it to how both the North and South Towers fell in the exactly same manner (“pancaking” in their own footprints), one can easily determine that collapse of the Twin Towers was no random act of terrorism, but rather the result of a controlled demolition. On the other hand, the official story maintains that the fires caused by the impact of the aircrafts weakened the buildings, explaining how the World Trade Center’s North and South Towers could collapse in such a manner. David Heller complicates matters when he argues that in order for this to be true “jet fuel would have to of supposedly burned so hot it began to melt the steel columns supporting the towers.” Heller adds that “steel-framed skyscrapers have never collapsed from fire, since they’re built from steel that doesn’t melt below 2750̊ F. No fuel, not even jet fuel, which is really just refined kerosene, will burn hotter that 1500̊ F” (Molé 30-42). Since burning jet fuel is not hot enough by itself to melt steel, and reports that melted steel was found at Ground Zero; experts can conclude that some other incendiary substance must have been present. Another piece of evidence that raises questions about September 11th, 2001 is the collapse of World Trade Center building 7. World Trade Center building 7 was not struck by an airplane but also followed the “pancake” collapse form. In order for the building to collapse in this manner, all of the load bearing supports would have had to fail at exactly the same time. According to Gaithersburg, Md., “the fall of the 47-story World Trade Center building 7 in New York City late in the afternoon of Sept. 11, 2001, was primarily due to fires” (NIST WTC 7 Investigation Finds Building Fires Caused Collapse). However, fires have never before or since destroyed a steel skyscraper. For this claim to be true the fires would have to be equally distributed throughout the entire floor of the building, providing equal heat for an equal amount of time, so that all the load bearings members would fail at the exact same moment. Besides the questions raised from the collapse of the World Trade Center buildings, many people including experts from the 9/11 Truth Mmovement, believe that the Pentagon was not actually struck by Flight 77. The “official story” claims: “as the Boeing 757 approached the Pentagon it was so low to the ground that it reportedly clipped an antenna on a vehicle on an adjacent road and severed light posts. The aircraft flew over the grassy area next to the Pentagon until its right wing struck a piece of construction equipment. At that time the aircraft’s left engine struck the ground just before sliding into the west wall of the Pentagon” (Mlakar et. Al. 4). However, “No remains whatsoever of Flight 77 were found at the crash site of the Pentagon” (Molé 30-42). Not only was there no physical evidence of the plane, the hole that was left in the pentagon wasn’t nearly the size it should have been if a Boeing 757 would have hit the pentagon. According to the documentary “Loose Change”, the hole left in the Pentagon by the alleged airplane was “a single hold, no more than 16 feet in diameter” (Molé 30-42). The problem with this is that the hole in the Pentagon was not large enough to accommodate the Boeing 757’s wingspan. The hole’s height was less than half the height of the 757. According to French aviation accident investigator, Francois Grangier, who studied the Pentagon crash carefully and concluded, “I think the trajectory as far as one can make it out today rules out an impact against the façade…What is certain when one looks at the photo of this façade that remains intact is that it’s obvious the plane did not go through there. It’s like imaging that a plane of this size could pass through a window and leave the frame still standing.” (Marrs 5). In addition, CNN correspondent, Jamie McIntyre, reported from the crash site on September 11th, that, “from my close-up inspection, there’s no evidence of a plane having crashed anywhere near the Pentagon” (Molé 30-42). So if there is no evidence of the Boeing 757, where did it go' The initial version of the official story claimed that American Airlines Flight 77 was entirely consumed by the fires raging inside the Pentagon. However, this version was called to question when the FBI announced that they were able to identify passengers by their fingerprints. (Marrs 7). If the fires were hot enough to “vaporize” metal airplane parts from American Airlines Flight 77; then how could the FBI identify passengers by their fingerprints' Wouldn’t a fire of such magnitude destroy human tissue' In addition to the lack of physical evidence, there were a number of eye-witness reports such as the one from April Gallop. April Gallop worked at the Pentagon and was there on 9/11. She was on her way to take her baby boy to daycare when an explosion rocked the building. “I thought it was a bomb”, Gallop recalled. After the explosion, Gallop and her son were taken to the hospital. At the hospital, men in suits visited her more than once. They never told her who they were or who they worked for, all they said was that they couldn’t tell her what to say, they only wanted to make “suggestions”. Later however, they told her what to do, which in this case was to take the (Victim Compensation Fund) money and shut up. They also kept insisting that a plane hit the building. They repeated this over and over. “But I was there and I never saw a plane or even debris from a plane. I figure the plane story is there to brainwash people.” (Marrs 10). When you take this and add it to what CNN correspondent, Jamie McIntyre, reported from the crash site on September 11th and to what the French aviation accident investigator, Francois Grangier said, one can conclude that whatever hit the Pentagon on Septermber 11th, 2001 was not a Boeing 757. Because the clean-up at the Pentagon was done so rapidly, researchers are left with only two types of evidence: a small number of eye-witness accounts, and post-crash photos. Yet, to this date, no one has produced any photos of Boeing 757 remains such as jet engines, seats, luggage, or other recognizable debris. There is however a picture of a small piece of red and white painted debris that is said to be part of American Airlines Flight 77; but that piece of evidence has even been called to question because it does not appear in any of the pictures taken within the first half hour of the Pentagon attack. (Marrs 14). Many researchers, including those from The Truth Movement believe that the United States government staged the damage and planted it on the lawn at a later time. There are numerous other conspiracy theories that focus more on the government’s suspicious actions and their alleged foreknowledge of the terrorist attacks. One of the main concerns of the public is why didn’t NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command) intercept the planes on 9/11' According to the 9/11 Truth Movement, “NORAD had the capability of locating and intercepting the planes on 9/11, and its failure to do so indicates a government conspiracy to allow the attack to occur” (Molé 30-42). In addition, “both American Airlines Flight 11 and United Airlines Flight 175 were known to be off course by 8:15am, yet NORAD was not notified for almost twenty minutes. It took another 15 minutes before jet interceptors were ordered off the ground at Otis Air Force Base in Massachusetts” (Marrs 23). However, even with the half-hour time delay, the F-15s still had enough time to reach the World Trade Center buildings in time to intercept United Airlines Flight 175 before it hit the World Trade Center’s South tower. And in addition to this, according to simple calculations using NORAD’s own numbers, “the fighter jets were flying at far less than their top speeds” (Marrs 32). So far no plausible explanation has been given as to the reason why NORAD failed to “scramble” interceptors in a timely fashion or to why the F-15’s were not flying at their top speeds when from early in the attack, American Airlines Flight 11 had turned directly south toward New York City. On top of all this, the government claimed that they had never considered that terrorists might use airplanes as weapons; however, the US Army had planned such a scenario in 1976. After the events on September 11th, 2001, Timothy McNiven, a US Defence Department contract operative, revealed that his military unit created a mock terrorist attack on the World Trade Center as part of a 1976 exercise. McNiven states that “As I watched the twin towers collapse on the morning of 9/11, I realized I was watching the very same thing we devised in 1976.” McNiven told his superior officer in 1976 that if the World Trade Center towers were ever brought down in such a manner in which his group had foreseen, he would go public with the story. (Marrs 44). When you take this and add it to what was previously learned about NORAD on the 9/11 attacks, there is no doubt that this was an inside job and that the government had indeed planned this exact scenario; it could have been just an “exercise” or it could have been a mock test for a future attack that the government had planned for America. Coming back to back to the question on if the government did indeed have alleged foreknowledge on the 9/11 terrorist attacks; many believe, including experts, that they did. One of the main reasons is because just days before 9/11 there was a large number of trading airline stocks. Conspiracy theorists believe “insiders” knew about the coming events of 9/11 and placed their bets that the price of stock would decrease. It was also said that these bets were placed “anonymously” which is one, illegal, and two unable to be done if an ordinary citizen were to try the same thing. In like manner, “What are the odds that all four transcontinental flights on two major airlines – American Airlines Flights 77 and 11 and United Airlines Flights 175 and 93 – would have 78, 74, 81, and 84 percent of their seats empty, respectively, on 9/11/01' This came at a time when many airlines were trying to save money by overbooking and canceling flights that were not full” (Marrs 46). When you add this to the bets that were placed only weeks before the events on September 11th, 2001, you not only know that the government had advanced and detailed information but did nothing to prevent the 9/11 assault and the murder of 3,000 Americans but instead they tried to cover it up and then lied about it. September 11th, 2001 must have been an inside job because otherwise how would the terrorists have obtained top-secret White House and Air Force One codes and signals' The answer is simple; it was, without a doubt, an inside job. “At 9:00am on 9/11, just about the time Flight 175 slammed into the South Tower of the WTC, Secret Service agents in Washington received a message: “Air Force One is next.” The warning was transmitted in that day’s top-secret White House code, indicating that whoever was behind the ongoing attacks had access to the highest level of security codes, only known to the Secret Service” (Marrs 54). Not only did the terrorists have access to the highest level of security codes, but they had knowledge that the US government had selected 9/11 to conduct a series of war games (or anti-terror exercises). “The NSA intercepted a phone conversation between hijack leader Mohamed Atta and the purported attack mastermind, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed which stated, “The Match is about to begin. Tomorrow is zero hour.” Match of course, is what you would expect if the speakers were referring to the discovery of the date that the US government had selected to conduct its counter-terror exercises.” (Marrs 25). The NSA phone intercept makes it clear that the hijackers knew exactly when to coordinate their attack with the war games and when you add this to all of what I have said so far, you always come back to the same answer: September 11th, 2001 was an inside job. For all of these reasons that I have stated above, I believe that September 11th, 2001 was not just a random act of terror but that the attack on America was planned, coordinated, and carried out with help from the US Government. Top government officials not only knew that thousands of Americans were about to be murdered in the worst terrorist attack that the country had every known, but they insured that these attacks would take place.
