Trojan Women Stage Performance After looking over the requirements for this assignment I decided to attend the play "The Trojan Women." It was performed at the USF Theatre on November 8, 2001 at 8:00pm. Not only did I choose this play because it was the only one I had not seen, but also because I love history and thought I could possibly relate to it more and learn some interesting facts that occurred in Greek History. Even though this was a mythological tale, the performers did an excellent job making the viewers believe it was something that had really occurred in time. The story was set at the end of the Trojan War in which all the suffering people as well as survivors were depicted through the chorus. As this tragedy progresses, the Greeks then destroy the city of Troy which causes a great turmoil. All the women and children are in horror as they sit outside the gates of Troy and watch as their city is being destroyed as well as their loved ones and lives.
