I drove home from the Indiana State New Theatre's production of El Grande de Coca-Cola with a full joyful heart feeling that comes from having seen a good show with a moving message. I was not alone in appreciating this show, as evidenced by the lengthy ovation. This play was however difficult to understand due to the extent of Spanish spoken throughout. It seems to have been a comedy that would be acceptable to any and all types of audiences. In particular, several of Pepe Hernandez’s lines made him sort of the master of ceremonies of everything. The Tijuana nightclub seemed to represent on the whole the importance of showbiz and how everyone can get wrapped up in getting his or her minutes of fame. This revelation affected the meaning as well as the intensity.
