Deliquescent DMA The Deliquescent DMA will determine the volume fraction of soluble material of the substance tested regardless of its chemical make up. This is important because the soluble material emitted into the atmosphere combines with moisture in clouds and is rained out. The rest of the material stays in the atmosphere and can have lasting effects on the environment. The DDMA will be used later in April at Dryden-NASA on the DC-8 aircraft.
