What most players sit on a bench for, or struggle at, are their batting skills. Hitting can actually be an easy thing if you keep three basic things in mind. One, never drop your hands! When I was in little league I would always drop my hands before I swung, causing me to be behind on the pitch, but if you keep them level between your chest and shoulders you will be fine. Two, you have to keep your eye on the ball, the chance of you hitting a tiny ball, coming eighty miles an hour at you is very slim.
