Interview With A Chiropractor by: Donato Policastro For this assignment I chose to interview a chiropractor because I have a strong intrest in the field of chiropractics and I hope to some day be a part of that field. The chiropractor I interviewd was Dr. Oliver Divaio. Dr. Divaio is runs a private practice form his home where he has a fully equiped studio. Dr. Divaio was kind enough to take time out of his busy schedual to allow me this interview and this is what he had to say: Q. What is Chiropractic' A. Chiropractic is a branch of the healing arts based on the premise that good health depends, in part, upon a normally functioning nervous system. The nervous system is known to control the function of every cell, tissue and organ of the body. Irritation to the nervous system can occur when spinal biomechanics are compromised and not functioning properly. When the body's physiology is abnormal, a disease state begins. Chiropractic works to remove nervous system interference, thus allowing normal homeostasis (functioning) of the body. Q. Are Chiropractors "real" doctors' A.
