Good One Knowing from experience the differences between Division 1 and Division 3 sports I felt this was a great topic to write my paper on. Coming from Division 1 Lock Haven University, where I competed in soccer and baseball, I know what it’s like to have some of the benefits that Division 1 athletes receive. Now being at Mount St. Mary’s College, I now also know what it’s like to compete for a Division 3 school. With my experiences in both college divisions, I would say that there many differences, but there are a few similarities between the two. While at Lock Haven University, I enjoyed many of the benefits that Lock Haven had to offer. For starters the scholarship money that is given to Division 1 athletes is much more awarding. Since Division 1 schools are more financially stable, they have more money that they can put into other aspects of student activities. Since the school has more money to spend on its athletic teams, the teams for Division 1 schools will have nicer accommodations.
