What Soccer Did For Me What Soccer Did for Me Things in life seem to work out in funny ways sometimes. Many things you do in your younger years that help you prepare for things in the future. People have told me about certain experiences, but never until recently have I had one. I know that playing soccer has made me a better person in many aspects of my life. I have made friends, established a good attitude, and it has given me leadership qualities. In my freshman year of high school, I didn’t have many friends. My friend Joel convinced me to tryout for during my freshman year. I went out for the team and made it. However I didn’t get to play a lot. For me it was tough not to get to play a lot; because everything that I have ever done came easy for me. Although I wasn’t any good, I had met new friends that helped me get better. However, the sport of soccer is not an easy sport to master. It takes time to become a good soccer player.
