When looking at a person one might notice his clothes, features, size, mannerisms, but will not realize whether or not he uses dialect or jargon until he opens his mouth and speaks. It may be on a short term basis that one uses either of them, or even at particular times. A doctor or nurse, who uses jargon all day at work, probably wouldn’t go home and use the same terms used at the hospital when speaking to his/her young children.
