Troubles And Issues In the virtual café a lot of topics have been thrown around. Terrorism brings up two popular sociological ideas, troubles and issues. Both similar in definition, issues are values cherished by groups that are felt to be threatened, and troubles are situations that occur that cause and individual’s beliefs or values to feel threatened. So, by following the definitions of troubles and issues terrorism is a combination of both. We realize that terrorism is an issue in life. But we don’t show to do anything about it until something drastic happens. A great example of this is the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. People knew that there wasn’t peace between the United States and Afghanistan, but we failed to do anything about it. Now, this is an issue because groups of people are actually doing something, so that something like the attack on the World Trade Center won’t happen again. The big picture of this issue is what makes it a trouble as well.
