The Necessity For Civil Disobedience The Necessity For Civil Disobedience Not only is it okay to display civil disobedience, but it is a duty. The more that we are willing to allow the government to control our lives and morals, the more that we lose our identity as humans. Life should not be based and behavior should not be followed according to laws that are immoral. It’s our right as humans to stand up against any law that degrades us as people, even through the use of civil disobedience. Over the years there have been many examples of human oppression due to unjust laws. Sometimes the use of civil disobedience doesn’t work. Sometimes it ends tragically, but for the most part the use of civil disobedience is a justified way of voicing opinion and fighting for basic rights that we all deserve. It may be difficult for us living in America in the twenty-first century to see the justifiability of civil disobedience. We live very free willed lives here in America and most people would agree that our laws are morally correct.
