Romania A year ago I met a girl from Romania through a friend that was dating her. She seemed very interesting, though it was difficult to get to know her because she is shy. When assigned this project I knew that I wanted to interview her. This project gave me an incentive to get to know her better. I enjoyed the opportunity to work with her and to learn more about her native culture. Her full name is Anca Maria Dragan. She is from Hunedora, Romania. About seven years ago, at the age of twelve, she moved to America with her dad, mom, and younger brother. When she was nine years old, her dad entered a nation wide lottery system to win a trip and citizenship to America. When she first mentioned this lottery I was very confused. I asked her to clarify it for me. At first I was completely in awe that the demand for relocation to the United States was so great that a lottery system was created for this reason. I often complain about problems I have.
