Sociology Throughout this article it explains and examines the differences between races, through study of composition and cognitive ability of future college students in the U.S. relationship between violent crimes and intelligence. It looks basically at intelligence and violent criminal behavior through each race. Along with this, it examines a selected few of America’s racial groups and their social behavior. To start, it lists that populations and race with a higher general intelligence are less likely to participate in violent criminal behavior than those populations and race with a lower general intelligence. Through this it examines racial groups such as whites, blacks and Asian Americans (also included later, Hispanics). The study was conducted through rates and percentages in criminal behavior and SAT scores, which began being categorized by race in the mid 1970’s. Mentioned within the article is the “Media”, which has played a role in the listing of minority (blacks) improvements in their SAT’s; however not mentioning the racial differences in the scores and the gap between whites and blacks.
