Sibling Rivalry According to research, sibling rivalry is a common part of society, and is inevitable in any two child family. In this study, both the primary and secondary research proved this statement. When it came time to answer the question whether or not sibling rivalry has a negative or positive influence on socialization of children as they grow up, both studies agreed that the way siblings interact with each other will determine the way they interact with society and the world. The conclusions in this research paper were very clear that if the rivalry is very extreme and not controlled, then the children will have a negative experience, but if the children have a controlled amount of rivalry, it will only benefit them in later life.
