American Society On The Downfall American Society has changed drastically over the past few decades. Young people used to do as they were told and, very seldom talked back. In recent years adolescents have begun talking back to significant people in their life, i.e. parents and teachers. This is a very important matter because if they don’t respect their parents and teachers, who will they respect' This may not be a world threatening concern, but it greatly concerns the future society of the world. If our children have no respect, then it will come back to us when we are older. In the 1950’s, most students seemed to have respect and more discipline and respect. They did their homework, listened, and paid attention. Hardly, did it occur to them to talk back to their teachers. Today I am constantly seeing students talking back to teachers and often cursing like a sailor. To me this is unacceptable behavior, there’s no reason for anyone to curse at a person in a higher position. It’s disrespectful and shows that the person is not able to control himself/herself when angry. These kinds of outbursts may result in detentions, groundings, or possibly no punishment at all. Today’s respect, children, teachers, back, very, world, told, tell, students, person, people, often, going, doing, class, child, work, wedge, unacceptable, try, times, time, threatening, talking, take, something, society, significant, should, school, rules, pizza, parents, life, it’s
