Abortion In the essays by Marquis and Warren their views on abortion could not be any further from each other. Mary Anne Warren argues that women should have no legal restrictions keeping them from aborting a fetus, it’s their body and there should be no higher authority than them regarding this decision. Keeping with her stance on the issue she presents a list of five features or traits that roughly define some of the aspects of personhood, among the list are consciousness, reasoning, self motivated activity, communication and self awareness.
