Health From my own experiences, I feel that the greatest risk factor for people my age is actually the media. I think that many teens are trying to mimic what they see on television and the Internet and what they hear on the radio. This could range anywhere from repeating obscene lyrics heard on the radio to making a bomb from directions found on the Internet. Teenagers think that this is ok, but I believe that content should be monitored for the safety of America’s youth. I believe that television should be edited or have it’s content changed. For the most part television has been lenient on its censorship of things such as violent crimes and cussing. Violent crimes make up a considerable amount of television programming. Crimes such as murder and rape should not be watched by teens. Along with violent crimes, there is often use of illegal substances and weapons. This gives teens the idea that it is ok to use these unlawful items. They also start to think that since this activity is being shown on television it must be what everyone is doing.
