Father

Father With a huge percentage of divorce rates in the United States, it is common to find single parent families. In my case, I lacked the parental guidance of a father. This was, and still is a devastating part of my life. Looking back, I cannot recall my father being part of any aspects of my life, aspects that I believe are crucial factors in a child’s developmental process. I look at pictures and see how happy he made me. I just wish that the photo album was bigger. I see gifts that he gave me during Christmas time. I wish that I could give them all back for just one more Christmas day with him I would have to say that one of the most difficult things I have ever been through was my father leaving because I never had the opportunity to have a true father/daughter relationship. My father was never there when I needed advice on significant issues; although, I wanted him to be there more than anything. There was always my mother, but, sometimes, I desperately needed and wanted a second opinion. For example, one day I was watching a football game on television. The announcer said excitingly, day, one, things, say, never, daughter, father, father’s, came, about, time, questions, myself, mother, know, just, first, even, days, class, christmas, been, yet, out, name, made, life, felt, back, always, years, work, whole, very, through, thought, teacher, students, second, season, school, said, presents, podium, picnic, over, ornaments, now, needed, my, mother
