Culture has a tremendous influence on communication and communication has a tremendous influence on culture. It would seem that one cannot exist without the other, nor should it. Communication and culture have become so intricately woven into the fabric of daily life that one simply cannot imagine a world in which they do not exist. It also seems difficult to actually identify the importance of communication in the cultural environment. Upon closer inspection, the importance and value that communication has in the cultural environment becomes glaringly apparent. According to George Gerbner (1999), "We live in a world communication, cultural, culture, one, environment, stories, become, interpretation, news, world, role, story, understanding, through, people, means, information, important, fact, actually, tremendous, seem, say, roles, person, majority, little, lies, influence, individual, indeed, importance, impact, exist, environments
