Comparing the Different types of Workers In any given company, there are several types of employees. Most middle to large sized companies have some type of upper management, middle management, and regular workers/peons. There are many differences and few similarities between the divisions of workers. Such things as salary and responsibility are only two things that differ between the three groups. The highest-ranking group is the division labeled upper management. This group usually consists of overpaid men in their late 50’s that either own part of the company or have been with the company for several years. These individuals seemingly have the least responsibility. They are usually only concerned with the ‘bottom line’ and nothing else. Profit is generally the only thing on their mind. These people usually never see or speak with the lowest ranking employees, regular workers/peons. Upper management will instead only direct middle management on what to do. Or, in most cases, they simply yell at middle management for not making the peons make enough money for upper management to golf with. Right below upper management we have middle management. These are the people that the peons will be most familiar with.
