Planned Parenthood Planned Parenthood I learned many new things about Planned Parenthood when Sarah Reeves came to speak to our class. One thing that I never would have thought was that it is a abstinence based program. I never realized that we had policies about teaching sex education such as having to teach an abstinence based program in order to teach at all here in Utah. I never realized how many different services planned parenthood had to offer to the community. I was aware of birth control and check-ups but I never realized that they did things such as vasectomy counseling, fertility planning, and I read in one of their pamphlets that they also do mid-life services such as menopause (Planned Parenthood, 1998). From what I have read and heard thus far, Planned Parenthood has a wide variety of services that I think are very good for our community to have because a lot of women and men can’t afford to go to a doctors office. Planned Parenthood charges you by your income so that you can afford to get the care you need with out having to pay as much as you would to a planned, parenthood, think, services, about, very, teach, sex, never, feel, things, really, realized, one, mother, important, having, child, because, abstinence, youth, women, thing, teaching, read, program, possible, people, out, office, informed, however, help, great, good
