Family The style of parenting is not what it once was. In an ideal world your family comes together each night to sit, eat, laugh, and share some stories about the day. We picture smiling faces talking over a healthy meal as a father scoops mashed potatoes onto the plates of other members of the family. Then we come back to reality. When was the last time the average household sat down and ate a home-cooked meal together' Some would guess yesterday or maybe sometime last week. The truth is that it doesn’t happen as often as it once did. The way parents have brought up their children has changed. Parenting has changed over the course of many generations and one example of this would be that families don’t spend as much time together as they used to. For example, back when my parents were teenagers, no matter how hectic or difficult the day was and no matter how busy they were during the day, the family would always find time at the end of the day to sit down together and have a nice home-cooked meal. Now my parents and I only eat dinner together during the weekends and sometimes parents, children, together, home, freedom, today, time, day, back, way, teenagers, should, power, parenting, over, now, meal, making, last, kids, given, family, example, eat, during, decision, child, work, week, vehicle, sometimes, sit, own, one, once, matter
