Gay Marriages Gay and Lesbian marriages is a major social issue that blankets the United States today. I place it in the same category of social issues as abortion. This kind of issue has very strong viewpoints from both sides. There is the anti marriage point of view from a large majority of very strict Catholics. These people belive that the bible tells them that homosexuality is not what God intended and thus is not acceptable. The leading protest for gay rights and gay marriages is by gay advocacy groups, and other people who just believe that ones sexual orientations their own business. My personal opinion on the situation may be a prejudice one, but it is one that I believe in. I believe that ones own sexual orientation is their own business. I also believe that same sex marriages should be allowed to take place, but these people should not be allowed to adopt children.
