Term Project
Objective: To analyze a comprehensive strategic distribution plan for a tangible product.
You must choose a tangible product (no services for this project) and the product must currently be in existence or about to be introduced (already in planning process for introduction). This product also must utilize an Indirect distribution channel (at least one intermediary) not direct distribution (from the manufacturer to the consumer). Party plan or Multi-level Marketing products (Pampered Chef, Mary Kay, Herbal Life) are not conducive to this assignment please select a product sold through wholesalers and/or traditional retailers.
Section One: (15 points total)
1. Provide a Brief Definition (approximately 2 paragraphs each) of the Product, Price and Promotion elements from the marketing mix of the product you have chosen. Use information such as:
Product: Classification, Branding, Packaging & Labeling, and Product Life Cycle
Price: Objectives, Strategies, and Discounts
Promotion: Advertising, Public Relations, Sales Promotion, Personal Selling, and Direct Marketing
