A Day of Thanks In the article, “In the Indian view, a day of no thanks,” Ward Churchill argues why he thinks Indians should not celebrate on Thanksgiving. To Americans it is a day to be thankful that the English settlers survived and colonized America. For American Indians it was the day they welcomed settlers that would eventually overrun and try to exterminate them.
