Affirmative Action Affirmative action has always had its share of supporters and critics. Some people feel that America is doing the best that it can in making all races equal. On the other hand people still feel that the country is bias and makes a lot of decisions based on race or gender. I feel that America has made a lot of progress in the past few years in making all races feel accepted. For some reason though, not everyone is happy with affirmative action. There are still a lot of people out their living in the past. They feel that just because they are of a different nationality that they are automatically discriminated against. For example, since September 11th every person from an Arabic background is thought of as a terrorist.
