Romeo and Juliet teaches the reader how difficult having a relationship can be when two people love each other but come from feuding families. For example, throughout the play Romeo and Juliet were only able to see each other at night because that was the only time of day they were able to sneak out without their families knowing. This aggravated them people they could not be open to their families about their love for each other. However, the play’s dramatic irony and suspense bring the reader into the characters’ world for a very entertaining story. For example, when Romeo was given false information that Juliet was dead, she was in fact simply in a dead-like sleep. The plan was that Juliet would drink a potion that would make her appear dead to her family.
