Romeo And Juliet A brief description of what happens in act 3 scene 1. Mercutio gets in fight with Tybalt Romeo tries to stop it but Mercutio gets hurt and dies. Romeo then goes crazy with anger and kills Tybalt and runs away. The prince who said if people fight justice will be done and lady Capulet wants Romeo dead because he killed Tybalt but the prince knows Romeo wasn’t full to blame so he banish him from Verona instead of killing him. This scene is important to the rest of the play because Mercutio dies who is Romeo’s bets friend and Tybalt dies who is Romeo’s enemy so Romeo feels guilty because they both died because of him and he is banned from Verona. So he can’t see Juliet and Juliet tries to see him by pretending she is dead but when Romeo gets there he thinks she is dead so he kills himself and Juliet kills herself because of this. This is all because of this scene The main characters in this scene are Mercutio, Tybalt, Romeo, Benvolio, Prince and lady Capulet.
