Missing Link The development of man and his history has been a controversial topic between the creationists and evolutionists. Did the origins of hominids evolve over time from hominoids, or is this just a misconception' Charles Darwin advocated the idea of natural selection with his book he Origin of Species. With the publishing of his book many received a shocking proposal that man may have descended from a more primitive being. Although this idea was not totally innovative, the concept had never took on so much controversy. With the idea spreading of the possibility that man came from beast many questions began to surface. One such obvious question centered on the findings of intermediate life forms. The claim to descent with modification could hold strong if the missing link between man and ape could be discovered. With the charge to locate the evolutionary stages and human ancestors many scientist took to the field to locate these links. With these discoveries, the question to prove or disprove this hypothesis could be strengthened. Discoveries of the Java Man and the Peking Man led to a new species deemed, Homo erectus. This species was believed to man, species, erectus, java, homo, link, dubois, bones, between, question, peking, missing, idea, discoveries, been, able, years, validity, took, time, strengthened, skulls, similar, scientists, one, new, needed, locate, later, known, human, found, fossils, findings, earlier
