Obesity The topic, which I will be writhing about, is obesity in America but first I would like to explain a few other topics that deal with eating disorders. Some of these eating disorders are physical some are mental. In today’s American society there is and extreme amount of different eating disorders many of which have been brought about by are lifestyles. Some of these eating disorders are natural some are mental. Some these eating disorders are anorexia, bulimia and the most common obesity. Anorexia is when females lose wait to, “condition characterized by intense fear of gaining weight or becoming obese, as well as a distorted body image, leading to an excessive weight loss from restricting food intake and/or excessive exercise ”. Bulimia is and eating disorder caused by, “persistent overconcern with body weight and shape leads to repeated episodes of binding (consuming large amounts of food in a short time) associated with induced vomiting, use of laxatives, fasting, and/or excessive exercise to control weight ”.
