Methamphetamine Methamphetamine (C10H15N) is a powerfully addictive drug. The chemical structure of methamphetamine is Acetone, Anhydrous Ammonia, Drian cleaner, Battery Acid, Lye, Freon, Antifreeze, and Coleman Fuel, it is also similar to the drug amphetamine. That is made very easliy in clandestine laboratories with inexpensive over-the-counter ingredients. Since the methamphetamine is very cheap to make it is a drug with high potental for widespread abuse. In 1887 in Germany they discovered the drug methamphetamine, but nothing was done with the drug from it's discovery until the 1920s. When they found out that it could cure or treat againist almost everything from depression to decongestion. But in the 1930s it was marketed as an over-the- counter inhaler to treat nasal congestion, after a period of time people started to abuse the drug to get a buzz of it. By 1937 it was available in a tablet form. The uses of methamphetamine is to give the person a rush to the body that effects it up to 6 to 8 hours before losing the rush.
