Environment In today’s society the environment is a big problem. There are lots of types of pollutions today other than just air. Here are some just to name a few: home, air, water, ground, noise and radiation. It’s about time we do something about it! Air pollution occurs when wastes dirty the air. People produce most of the wastes that cause air pollution. Such wastes can be in the form of gases or particulates. These substances result chiefly from burning fuel to power motor vehicles and to heat buildings. Industrial processes and the burning of garbage also contribute to air pollution. Natural pollutants include dust, pollen, soil particles, and naturally occurring gases. Water pollution is one of the most serious environmental problems. It occurs when water is contaminated by such substances as human and other animal wastes, toxic, chemicals, metals, and oils.
