The Last Supper The Crucifixion of Christ is the culminating event of thousands of years of prophecy and over thirty years of the life and teachings of our Messiah Jesus Christ. It marks also and most importantly the covenant between the church and God. However, as is painfully obvious out in town and even in this school, people get confused with the ways of God and the ways of the "world", which are two separate entities. The people of the "world" rationalize this way; they look at Christ as merely a prophet, and therefore their view of The Last Supper and the crucifixion is a bitter and doleful event that needlessly ended the life of a great man.
