Religions Of Early India And Early China.
When comparing early India and early China, there is no doubt many similarities and differences among the religions being practiced. In this paper, the primary focus is to define some of the similarities in the religion they share, namely Buddhism and also, the differences in religions in the two areas by discussing different aspects of Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism and Islam. Apart from looking at similarities and differences, I will be focusing on how these religions actually help shape the societies in both areas over time and how it contribute to aspects of social hierarchy, status of women, occupational role of men, social mobility and other factors. Some questions of interest will include Does religion affect social hierarchies' What are the advantages and disadvantages of a certain religion to a society' and How did the evolving religions contribute to changes in the societies over time' As my argument, I believe that religion has created substantial impacts on the societies of both early India and China and this accounted for many differences and similarities in the two areas.
