“The Fall Of Man: Genesis 3:1-24” Genesis Chapter three verses one through 24 is a very popular passage of the Old Testament; even persons who have received limited levels of Bible teachings and have no desire to become Bible scholars have heard of this story. Set in the garden of Eden prior to 2100 BC, Genesis three involves two of the most well known people in the history of man, Adam and Eve. It also involves the serpent and lasts but not least, God, the creator of them all. The book of Genesis is the very first book of the Bible. It introduces the basic theological doctrines of the Bible- Creation, God, salvation, sin, family, mission, humanity, hope, each beginning in the book of Genesis. Genesis chapter three deals with all of these doctrines, more poignantly sin (or the “fall of man”). It puts the events surrounding the “fall of man” in perspective. This particular passage was chosen, because “the fall of man”, rather the surrounding events, identifies the beginning and consequences of sin, as well as establishes the need for repentance and salvation.
