Deception

Deception It was cold and rainy and we were all shivering in our tents hoping for the rain to stop. The wind was howling and we thought the tent would blow over. We could hear the constant pitter - patter of the rain falling onto the roof of the tent. As we sat there, that first night of Youth Conference, we talked about many subjects but mainly boys. Soon after the conversation ended we crawled into our sleeping bags to go to sleep, we knew that we had a big day ahead of us. Around 1:00 a.m. I was awakened by the laughter of the girls in the next tent. They were talking about the same typical topics, then the subject switched to girls in the camp. This was my first year at Youth Conference and I was not sure who everyone was so I rolled over and closed my eyes. When I was about to fall asleep, I heard my name so I listened closer. The girls were talking about how much they hated me and could not stand me.
